Contemporary Textile Artist
Susan Syddall is a practicing artist, currently working with print, mixed media and stitch. She has a BA (1st) in Textile and Surface Design and is based at Neo:artist Studios in Bolton.
Susan celebrates the stitched line. She uses both machine and hand embroidery on handmade paper and fabric. She is stimulated by line, texture and form. With a strong interest in nature and urban landscape, and the patterns created by our interventions and manipulation of nature, her inspiration often comes from visual encounters that she records by using photography.
