Free Machine Embroidery

I am a textile / mixed media artist based in Poynton, Cheshire. I specialise in large scale two and three dimensional pieces which reflect my interest in different times and cultures, mythology, literature, symbolism, story telling, and flora and fauna. I employ a wide range of media including plastics, upcycled materials, fabrics and embellishments. Drawing is a very strong element in my work and I utilise free machine embroidery extensively.

I have exhibited widely both in solo exhibitions and as a member of a group. In 2019 I showed forty three pieces in my largest exhibition to date at the Williamson  Art Gallery in Birkenhead. Other venues include Chester Cathedral,  Gawthorpe Hall, Hoxton Arches in London, the Festival of Quilts at the NEC and the Silk Museum in Macclesfield. Read More...
