Terri creates richly textured fabrics, often incorporating re-cycled materials, which are constructed into garments and accessories. Although it is important to her that her work is functional, it is sometimes a vehicle for the expression of an idea and recent pieces have commented on deep-rooted attitudes to women in society. Her current interests include a fascination with the explosion of digital technology and its creative use in the art of embroidery.
Terri worked in adult education for 20 years, teaching fashion and embroidery.
As one half of the partnership ‘Connect-2’ she currently runs workshops in design development and embroidery techniques. She also gives talks to Guilds and groups and holds weekly classes in garment making and pattern drafting.
